In my spare time? Well, I have a teen daughter who is in track, so a lot of my time in the spring is spent making it to as many of her meets as I can. She’s trying to get recruited to run track in college so it’s pretty intense! I also scour the woods while hiking, hunting down morel mushrooms. I have 2 dogs — Sylas the mini Australian Shepherd, and Kai the Jack Russell/ Border Collie mix. They keep me busy! I’ve also been blessed with 3 of the coolest kitties. Milani, Luna, and Mini P (short for mini panther). In the summer, my time is spent in the woods hiking, exploring, and roughin’ it in a tent primitive camping style. The woods are my second home! You’ll always find me with my camera around my neck while outdoors. Photography is a passion! I also love splashing around in rivers and creeks, and kayaking. Other hobbies of mine include video games (PlayStation girl!), horror films, and urban exploration.

Jodi
RVT (Practice Manager)
I have been working in the veterinary field since 2001, and have been a part of the BCVH family since 2007. After graduating from NDCL, I went on to earn a B.S. from the University of Findlay in Biology with a Life Science Emphasis. I then earned my Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Stautzenberger College and my license as a Registered Veterinary Technician.
Many of my younger years were spent raising assistance dogs, and competing in dog obedience shows. I share my home with 2 dogs and 4 cats. “Vanellope” is my crazy, sweet, zoomie pitbull mix, and “Remy” is my dopey, clumsy, ice cube loving plott-hound mix. I rescued these shelter best friends in 2016 after losing my old dogs, “Owen” and “Violet” within 2 months of each other. “Wanda” is a sweet little girl we fell in love with after a friend at work found her and brought her in with a broken leg! “Goober” was a stray kitten I found all alone hiding under the porch steps, and “Vader” and “Leia” found their way into our hearts several years ago through the forest! I also have 5 sweet chickens, all named after Disney ladies: “Edna”, “Fauna”, “Becky”, “Lottie”, and “Madam Mim”! I love, love, LOVE Disney! I visit VERY often, so if I’m ever out of the office – you can bet that’s where I’m at!
I am honored that you are considering, or have chosen, us to take care of your little ones! I always pour the same love into taking care of your animals as I do my own! Thanks for stopping by – I hope to see you soon!

I’ve worked with cattle, poultry, small ruminants, and even some exotics and wildlife. In the picture, I’m holding a great horned owl, who was one of my favorite patients from vet school. I’ve moved back to my hometown in northeast Ohio and in my downtime, I’m a couch potato. I love to read, watch cartoons, and play games, especially puzzle games. I look forward to caring for your beloved nonhuman family members.

Dr. Marissa LoParo
Veterinarian
Hello! My name is Marissa LoParo. I graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. While I adored the Florida sunshine and, of course, the frequent trips to Disney, I decided to follow my heart back to my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio to join the Big Creek family. Throughout my education, I developed special interests in preventative care, feline medicine, and fear-free techniques. In my free time, I love spending time outdoors with my boyfriend, David. We especially enjoy hiking, fishing, exploring new parks, and attending Cleveland Indians games. I also have a passion for cooking and cherish all of the beautiful memories made in the kitchen with my family.
Dr. Bonnie Dill
Veterinarian
Hi there! My name is Bonnie Dill. I grew up on a small farm in Chardon, OH, made my career choice of veterinarian in the 4th grade, and never looked back! I attended Lake Catholic High School and went on to further my career at The Ohio State University, graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. I spent almost 31 years after graduating at All Creatures Animal Hospital in Geneva, OH. There, I was a solo small animal practitioner. I especially enjoy preventative medicine and senior care, along with client education.
Family is super important to me! When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Steve. We are exercise enthusiasts and especially enjoy running on the local trails. We also enjoy watching professional college and high school sports, especially the Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Lake Catholic Cougars! I am excited to be a part of the Big Creek team, and look forward to taking care of your pets!
Dr. Aaron Horch
Veterinarian
I graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Dr. Percival and I were in the same class at Ohio State. I came to Big Creek Veterinary Hospital in 2002. My wife’s name is Tracy and she retired from Big Creek Veterinary Hospital last year after being employed by Big Creek for more than twenty years. We live in Concord. Tracy and I enjoy spending time together and taking care of our home.
Tracy and I have three dogs and three cats. The dogs are Dorabelle (because she is adorable), Joey (an Australian Shepherd), and Nika (an Australian Cattle Dog). Our cats’ names are Hershey, Nestor, and Sophie. I have two adult children. My daughter Jordan lives in Columbus, Ohio, and is getting married in 2021 to her fiance. My son Colin lives in Chardon with his girlfriend Mikayla. I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice. I look forward to meeting you and taking care of your pet.
Dr. Lauren Wade
Medical Director, Veterinarian
I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and realized that I wanted to be a veterinarian early in life. I loved science and math (yep, I’m a nerd), animals (what vet doesn’t), and the problem-solving and compassion that I saw in the veterinarians, I knew veterinary medicine was the perfect career choice for me.
I studied Biology at Wittenberg University and was accepted as a member of THE Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine class of 2000.
After graduation, I moved to northeastern Ohio, beginning in an all-equine practice and moving to Big Creek Veterinary Hospital in 2003. I took a brief (and ill-advised) sabbatical from Big Creek in 2020 and happily rejoined the new Encore/Big Creek team in June of 2021.
In addition to practicing veterinary medicine, I enjoy riding and showing my Hanoverian gelding Tommy (who is on the right in the picture). I am also a joyful and enthusiastic (if not skilled) singer and dancer. I live in Burton with my tolerant and handsome husband Frank, my two occasionally clean and always fabulous Border Terriers, George and Gracie, and 1 3/4 cats, creatively named Man Cat and Three Leg.
